Funeral services for Mrs. Mazie Ann (Vaughn) Copeland, 96, of Alpine, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013 from Christ Church Presbyterian in Alpine, with Bro. David Beaty officiating.

Burial was in Vaughn Cemetery.

Funeral services for Mr. Jacob Keith Cummings, 35, of Cookeville, formerly of Pickett County, were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 from Browns Funeral Chapel with Pastors Rodney and Kim Koger officiating.

Burial was in Chanute-Campbell Cemetery.

Charles Hamilton, 81, of Monroe, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Mr. Hamilton was a U.S. veteran of the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1954. He retired as a supervisor from Southdown Cement and attended Monroe Christian Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, and riding his tractor. He just enjoyed working and being on the farm.

Funeral services for Mr. Timmy Edward Walker, 53, of Allons, were conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home, with Bro. Brett Gibbons officiating.

Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery.

A benefit yard sale and bake sale for Carter Bilbrey Cemetery will be held Saturday, May 25 from 7 a.m. until noon at the Rotary Ag Building at Overton County Fairgrounds.
