Qualls Reunion A Qualls Reunion will be held Sunday, May 26 beginning at 11 a.m. at the T. H. Qualls old home place. All relatives and friends are invited. Please bring a covered dish. For more information, call (931) 261-6772.
Taylor Reunion A Taylor Reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 26 at Taylor/Polk Cemetery in Taylors Crossroads for decoration and then follow up at Louise’s old home place in Byrdstown for a meal and fellowship.
Masters-Morgan The Masters-Morgan family reunion will be held Saturday, May 18 at Standing Stone State Park shelter #5. Participants are asked to bring a basket lunch. Food will be put on the table at noon. |

Members of the Mofield family can be seen in the old automobile in front of what may possibly be the original Mofield home.
Those of us who fondly remember the home known as the Mofield House were sad to see what remained of the house taken down recently. One of the few old historical homes still standing in Livingston, it was destroyed by fire in 2009. The following tells the history of the wonderful old home:

A little rain didn’t stop the Mothers’/Special Ladies’ Garden Party at Morningside of Cookeville. “An Enchanted Garden” was the theme and the décor fit sweetly into the sea of beautiful hats and faces created by Morningside’s fairer residents.

I hope all the mothers had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I enjoyed my family all gathering at my house for dinner. We all cooked and it is always good to have them with me.
Last week, Haley had invited me to hear her sing at Burks School where she is in 5th grade. She is part of the after school chorus. So being the “grandmother of the year” that I am, I said yes I will certainly be there. When I got there I noticed a lot of important people from our community were in the hallway. There was Judge Maddux in his robe. Then I found out that they were here for an adoption ceremony for the school. I was so glad that I went to support Haley because I had never been to one of these services before.
