Relay for Life Corn Hole Tournament, Shooting Match & Cookout: Held at 11 a.m. at Smitty’s Bar, 1/2 mile from Obey River Park. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life.

Dedication of County Poorhouse Monument: Held at County Home Cemetery at 10 a.m. by Overton County Historical Society. To reach the Cemetery, on W. Main Street turn right beside Raceway, follow signs, parking at church below cemetery.

Benefit for Carl Crabtree: Held at Overton County Fairgrounds beginning at 6 p.m. Concessions, auction, and cake walk. All money raised will help the family with medical bills and expenses for his treatment for colon cancer. 1st Memorial Day Bike Ride: Held by American Legion Post 137, with proceeds going to pay for the Legion building. Ride begins at noon at Fentress County Courthouse and ends back at courthouse on the square in Jamestown. Will feature Bluegrass music on WDEB’s Bluegrass Saturday Night, Cook-out with hotdogs and hamburgers. $20 registration fee per bike, passenger free. Ride will be led by 278th Army National Guard. Memorial Day Program: Sponsored by the American Legion at 10 a.m. on Courthouse Square. Cmdr.USMA Tank Stone of Red, White & Blue Tour of U.S. Military Allstars will be keynote speaker. Ron Goode will speak on Heroes of Overton County, and TN National Guard will be onhand with equipment and Humvees.
