With all members present, Overton County Legislative Body voted unanimously in approval of sending a grant application that could get funding for three school resource officers (SROs) in Overton County Schools outside the Livingston city limits at reduced cost to the county.

Tennessee Health Care Association (THCA)/Tennessee Center for Assisted Living (TNCAL) has named Harry Cardinale, a resident at Overton County Nursing Home, to its annual Who’s Who in Tennessee Long-term Care. Honorees in this year’s Who’s Who recognition program include military heroes, educators, entertainers, and other elders living in THCA/TNCAL member nursing homes and assisted living communities statewide.

McGruff may be a “crime dog”, but very soon, if he is caught in a city park, he will be a “committing a crime” dog.
First reading of an ordinance to ban dogs from Livingston City Park and J.W. Winningham Nature Park was approved during the Monday, May 6 meeting of Livingston Mayor Curtis Hayes and the Board of Aldermen.
