The future of any community is directly related to the talent, dedication and resourcefulness of the people who call that community home. To that end, Overton County offers more than 20 civic organizations, from Rotary and Lions Club to the Civic and Garden Club and Merchants’ Association.
If you’d like to get involved, but are unsure where to begin, Overton County offers a unique perspective on community issues, from local and state government to tourism and economic development through its Leadership Overton program. Meeting monthly from November to June, the program is perfect for both newcomers and life-long residents. The Leadership Overton Youth Academy is also available to high school sophomores.
